Column: Multiple construction projects dot District 518 landscape Written By:Parker Sandhurst, District 518 | WORTHIINGTON — The three large projects across District 518 facilities that began in the summer of 2020 are all nearing completion and, in one case, have already seen use this fall. The remodel of Trojan Field, the second-story addition to Worthington High School and the referendum-approved Intermediate School project have all progressed nicely along their construction timeline, with Trojan Field and the high school addition nearly fully completed and ready to serve students, go to this web-site staff and our district community. District 518 had the pleasure of utilizing the newly remodeled Trojan Field for fall sporting competitions this year. The new turf field, home and visitor bleachers, and scoreboard were on full display and use during Trojan football and soccer games. The finishing touches on this facility will be completed this spring, including the final layer of track, concession area and interior elements of the new field house. Trojan Field has been remodeled into a shining gem of a sporting facility that will be used by ISD 518, Minnesota West Community and Technical College, and many community organizations. Across Marine Avenue from Trojan Field, Worthington High School has also been seeing construction crews and improvements. A second-story addition containing seven additional classrooms has been under construction and is very near completion. This addition will provide much needed additional space within the high school.

Stolen vehicle recovered after traffic stop EVANSVILLE, Ind (WEHT) While on patrol around 3:30 p.m. Friday, officers located a stolen vehicle. Police conducted a traffic stop at the Circle K on West Columbia Street. They say the driver then fled on foot but was taken into custody after a short pursuit. Both passengers were also taken into custody. During the course of the investigation, officers found two handguns. The driver, identified as 20-year-old Adriean Adams of Evansville, has been charged with auto theft, possession of a handgun without a license, resisting arrest, and failure to appear. 19-year-old Jamaarion Buckner of Evansville is charged with possession of a handgun without a license and failure to appear.
